What Is CultureMee?

CultureMee is a multi-award winning content platform on a mission to build a global network of people united by their passion to make a difference.

We help travellers to take the blindfolds off by unlocking the keys to the local culture.

We do this through our engaging culture content and videos so that anyone can easily understand the local do’s and don’ts.

CultureMee has won global awards, including “Best Travel Technology Product” in the world at the Global Youth Travel Awards in September 2018.

In January 2019, CultureMee was also included in Buying Business Travel’s Hotlist for 2019 of companies which will revolutionise business travel.


    • Together with the team create groundbreaking content on a weekly basis that gets people thinking differently about culture (e.g. Videos, 360 VR content, interviews, blogs, infographics, etc.)
    • Own key aspects of social media marketing, including social media strategy, creation and deployment of social media content as well as building a global community across all social media platforms.
    • Develop and execute growth hacking strategies to app design (e.g. UX, UI, network effect, in-app user acquisition, in-app crowdsourced content, etc.)
    • Develop and execute growth hacking strategies to ASO (e.g. Keyword optimisation, app store videos, app store descriptions, etc.)
    • Develop and execute growth hacking strategies to SEO (e.g. Keyword optimisation, optimising blogs, thought leadership content, website redesign, email marketing campaigns, etc.)
    • Represent CultureMee at travel conferences around the world (e.g. Business Travel Show London on 20-21st Feb 2019)
    • Together with the team, experiment with new content technologies (e.g. Virtual reality, 360 videos).
    • Together with the team, execute our video content strategy, including planning, filming and editing of video content
    • Together with the team, execute outreach to traditional PR channels (e.g. Outreach to travel, culture and tech editors)
    • Together with the team, execute any research projects on travel and culture
    • Help with any ad hoc projects (e.g. award submissions, expense submissions, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

    • The most important qualification is that you have a love of travel, a love of people and have a passion for bringing people together.
    • Video and creativity are at the heart of CultureMee so if you have a track record of bringing people to life through video, either personally or professionally, this is a major plus.

We are extremely open minded, but it would be great if you:

    • Speak fluent English
    • Have some experience with digital marketing, media, journalism, communications, or other arts and humanities field. A bachelor’s degree (either completed or in progress) in these areas would be a plus.
    • Have some experience with growth hacking techniques.
    • Have some experience with video editing and production, both mobile and desktop

  • 2-3 days a week role initially
  • Intern salary initially with the flexibility to increase salary after 3 months
  • Flexible hours
  • The world is your office. We are big believers in remote working.
  • 3 month role initially with the opportunity to become permanent role thereafter
  • Opportunity to attend trade shows globally (e.g. Business Travel Show in London in February 2019)
